Pirates!

The boys had a half a day of school yesterday, so at 1:00 I picked them up & we made our way towards Ephrata to the Main Theatre (where matinees are only $5.00!!) to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At Worlds End.

After being disappointed by the the ending of Dead Man's Chest, let me just say I was amazed at the special effects & how exciting this movie is!

Austin & Aidan both enjoyed it very much - even though Aidan asks a million questions during the movie (Mom, did they die? Mom why is he crying? Mom, can I have some popcorn? Aidan, be quiet. We are watching a movie!)

Below are the lyrics to the very first song in the movie. It is starts out being sung by a little boy & then all the pirates join in. Very haunting start to the movie that keeps you interested the whole two and a half hours +!

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high.
Heave ho,
thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will well roam.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never say we die.

Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage…
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler’s Green!

The bell has been raised
from it’s watery grave…
Do you hear it’s sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home!

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high…
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never say we die.
